This is a set of six (6) Civil War era, hand tinted prints of various medical wounds and amputations. Some of the plates are even identified by the soldiers that received the wounds and care. They appear to have been removed from a book entitled “WOUNDS OF THE LOWER EXTREMITIES” dated 1865.
 
These would be an excellent addition to your Civil War medical collection or display.
